Brown rice is very healthy and nutritious, so it is better to introduce it as often in the diet. The preparation is simple and quick and the mix with fresh vegetables makes it even more delicious.
The recipe is simple, with few ingredients, and, finally, you will have non-sticky rice with separate, colored and flavored beans.
Fry in a non-sticky pan (or wok) the chopped vegetables (an onion, a carrot, a celery stalk). Use only 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Sprinkle salt over them (helps the simmering process).
After 3 minutes, add two chopped zucchinis.
Wash 250 grams of rice in several waters. Then fry the rice with the vegetables for a minute. Sprinkle salt and pepper. Add 2 cups of boiling water and reduce the heat and let simmer until all the sauce evaporates (about 10 minutes).
2-3 minutes before the rice is ready, add a diced green pepper and a little chopped chili.
After the 10 minutes have passed, taste a grain of rice. It should be almost done, "al dente". If it seems too hard, add some water (half a ladle) and let boil for 2-3 minutes more.
Put a lid over the pan and turn off the heat. Leave it for 5-10 minutes. The rice is done by steaming. This combined method (boiling up to the stage of "al dente" + "steam cooking") will lead to a successful result. Rice will be well done, but grain will not break, and you will be able to enjoy each un-sticky grain of this preparation. The taste sensation is much more enjoyable than boiled rice, and the preparing method is infinitely healthier, than to boil it until it disintegrates.
Garnish with chopped vegetables or fresh cherry tomatoes.
For those who do not want a strictly vegetarian menu, you can give them the rice as a gasket besides a steak.
