cabbage is a very healthy and dietetic vegetable and therefore it's advised that you eat it as often as possible. it can be served raw, in various salads or cooked (boiled, tempered or baked).
baked cabbage is delicious and the combination with red peppers and fresh dill will give it an extra aroma and a very joyful, attractive look.
this is a recipe for the entire family because it's very economical and meets all requirements: simple, good dietetic lunch and if you put it next to a juicy stake as side-dish you can delight any gourmand's appetite.
wash and chop a very large cabbage. rub some rough salt (be careful not to add too much salt). then place it on an oiled tray. add some pepper beans, one laurel leaf, some thyme and the chopped pepper. sprinkle again with oil and put the try in the oven at 180 degrees.
after 20 minutes, take the tray out, mix and add a glass of tomatoes juice and, optional, a spoon of borsch powder. mix well and put back in the oven.
let it in the oven for another 30 minutes until it's well ruddy.
serve warm with fresh, chopped dill. you can also serve it with polenta and hot peppers.
next to a nice, well done steak.
enjoy!
